Seabass on the wrecks
Friday, 18 June 2010

On 6/17 I had a great bunch of guys from Phila Pa for an all day ocean wreck trip.  Russel, Doug and Jonh  showed their fishing skills by putting together a fine catch in less than favorable conditions. The guys stayed right at the rail hammering away at plenty of seabass as the winds built and chased us back early to the calm protected waters of they bay. It looks as though the summer fish have finally showed. The guys had fast action landing over 200 seabass to get  almost fifty nice keepers for the box. The 3 gentleman showed some fine fluking skills also landing 28 flounder on a few drifts in the bay. The fluke were 12 to 17 inches but no keepers were found. A fine day and a good time .

It does appear that a new body of fish have moved to the inshore grounds in our area. Today I ran a crew trip to check out a few areas that were very unproductive in the last few weeks. Well the inn is now full and the life on the inshore grounds was amazing. Plenty of fish willing to eat and it did not take long to grab our 50 fish seabass limit. These fish are mainly 12.5" to 17" and are what we normally see this time of year along with some very large numbers of short fish. That means tons of action and some fine eating. We are now offering our full day ocean wreck trips, bay only trips, and our one of a kind combo bay/ocean trips. Please call or email for more details and check out the new pictures in the gallery. Thanks for looking61718_004.jpg61718_016.jpg

Seaside Park Fishing
Monday, 14 June 2010

The fishing in the Seaside Park area is really heating up with good catches from both the ocean and Barnegat Bay. With the good fishing we  are now offering our bay only trips in addition to our ocean wreck and one of a kind combo trips. On 6/12 it was the Ed McGinnis Charter  scoring a nice catch of quality seabass on a full day ocean wreck trip. Conner,Ed and John were well on their way toa fine catch when the 20mph south winds force me to cut the trip short with a couple dozen nice knuckleheads in the box.

On 6/13 it was a bay only trip for the J Robert group. The 3 anglers had very good action on bluefish and short fluke. Although they did not land any keeper fluke they had plenty of fun landing 34 flounder up to 17.5" on light tackle. The bluefish action started slow but came on strong with many fish fighting over the same top water plug. The guys boxed up 15  fish for the grill and released plenty more.

On 6/14 it was back out to the ocean wrecks for more seabassing with Pat and Lou from CherryHill. In glass calm conditions the two anglers hammered away at quality knuckle heads and some nice ling. It was nice-again to see some seabass limits after last weeks slow wreck fishing. The two anglers finished the day with 614_003.jpgtheir 50 seabass limit and 7 ling. Check out the photo gallery for pics. We still have some prime dates in July for all the trips we offer. Please call or email for more details. Thanks for looking.
