The summer is flying by and the good fishing continues. On 8/6 it was a 3man all day ocean wreck trip for Randy SR, Jr and Sam. The 3 anglers enjoyed plenty of very good action on seabass but it took a little searching to find the bigger keepers size fish we were looking for. All day wreck trips are about what go's into the cooler and not "drop and reel fishing on weenies"lol. Some days we find great numbers of large fish ,some days we do not, but everyday we try the whole length of the trip to put the best possible catch together for the charters. The guys finished with 52 keeper seabass one tog and one porgy. Top fish was Randy Jrs 3lb knucklehead. On 8/7 it was another all day wreck trip for boat regulars John,Steve and Wilson. We checked out a new area an found some great quality with fish to 5 lbs 12oz but not in the numbers I had hoped. A strong current and ground swell did not help the catch either. The anglers finished with 30 keeper seabass(5 over 3lbs), limits of blackfish to 4lbs, 2 ling and a 13" porgy for a nice cooler full of fish. John's 5lb 12oz fish was the largest seabass caught on the the boat this season. I am looking forward to hitting this area again with better tide conditions. Today I had a last minute cancellation so I grab may 8 year old son and some of his 8 year old buddies for a short morning bay fluke trip. The kids did great and we all had a wonderful time. Chris had the hot hand nailing some very nice 20" fluke in-addition to many short fluke. The boys finished with 45 short fluke,4 jumbo sea robins and 4 keeper fluke in the 20" range in 2.5 hours of fishing for some very good action. A great morning with some great kids. New pictures of all catches and trips are up in the gallery. Thanks for looking

Plenty of wind and plenty of fish. On 8/3 it was Wendell ,Tom and Hughe on an 8hour ocean/bay combo trip. The 3 anglers enjoyed a very good seabass bite with a good mix of shorts and keepers. After boxing 43 keepers they set their sites on blackfish. They had a fair bite of small tog with some 16" fish mixed in. The bite was a little picky and the hard south winds did not help the catch but they still put 3 nice fish on ice and released over a dozen more. A quick stop in the bay produced a handful of short fluke on poor tide conditions. Plenty of fillets at the end of the day and some good laughs. On 8/4 it was a family bay trip with Ed and his sons Connor and Brock. The trip started slow with a pick of fish. Once the tide started running it was game on with non stop short fluke and a nice jack mixed in. Today it was another family bay trip with dad Frank,Sam, Vicky and Stephine. Again it was slower fishing until the incoming tide brought some cooler water into the bay and got the fish snapping. The new anglers did a great job under less than ideal conditions(20mph south-winds) landing over 45 short fluke in a few hours time. The family trips are always great and make for many lasting memories. I think I enjoy them as much as the charters. We have a few open dates for late August if you are looking to get a trip in before our season ends in early Sept. Please call or email for more details. Plenty of new pictures in the gallery.
