7/2 STC Sports weekly charter
Friday, 03 July 2009

Today I had the STC Sports(www.stcsports.com) weekly charter out for a full day of wreck fishing. Brian and Jessie have been hammering away at the knuckle heads the last few trips and brought Toney (Jessie's son) to help fill the cooler on this trip. Toney showed the guys how its was done with a fish close to 3 lbs on his first drop. The sea condition were not the greatest with a SE swell and hard current but the  guys hung in there.  They rallied at the end of the day with some real nice quality fish, with Brian getting a  jumbo 3lb "pool winner"  on the last stop of the day.The guys ended the day with 45 keeper seabass ,1 ling, 1porgie and 12 out of season blackfish along  a 150 short seabass. As always it a pleasure and one fine day when the guys from STC Sports are on-board. Thanks guys and see you soon. Thanks for look72stc-1.jpging

7/1 Ed McGinnis seabass clinic
Wednesday, 01 July 2009

Today I ran a crew trip with boat regular and outstanding fisherman Ed McGinnis. A crew trip is another word for a trip were I fish lol. Once again we found great fishing with great quality. This is about as good as it gets when it comes to summer time inshore seabassing. Ed hammered big numbers a large knuckle heads requiring the net more than a dozen times.  We boxed our limit of 50 keepers with more than half being beauties over 15 inches. We ended with enough tasty fillets to feed an army. This was a trip we will be talking about for years to come. I also have some good news on the blackfish front. After we caught our boat limit of seabass I decided to check out some spots for blackfish in anticipation of the July 16th opener. We found good numbers of hungry 2 to 3 lb fish. Blackfish will become a target species after the opener. Dates are starting to fill up so if you are intrested in some jumbo tog in the warm summer months give a call or email. Also if you are interested in getting on our open boat or safari trip  alert list just send an email to be notified of any openings. Thanks again Ed for a great day. Thanks for looking.
