The fishing in the Seaside Park area is really heating up with good catches from both the ocean and Barnegat Bay. With the good fishing we are now offering our bay only trips in addition to our ocean wreck and one of a kind combo trips. On 6/12 it was the Ed McGinnis Charter scoring a nice catch of quality seabass on a full day ocean wreck trip. Conner,Ed and John were well on their way toa fine catch when the 20mph south winds force me to cut the trip short with a couple dozen nice knuckleheads in the box.
On 6/13 it was a bay only trip for the J Robert group. The 3 anglers had very good action on bluefish and short fluke. Although they did not land any keeper fluke they had plenty of fun landing 34 flounder up to 17.5" on light tackle. The bluefish action started slow but came on strong with many fish fighting over the same top water plug. The guys boxed up 15 fish for the grill and released plenty more.
On 6/14 it was back out to the ocean wrecks for more seabassing with Pat and Lou from CherryHill. In glass calm conditions the two anglers hammered away at quality knuckle heads and some nice ling. It was nice-again to see some seabass limits after last weeks slow wreck fishing. The two anglers finished the day with their 50 seabass limit and 7 ling. Check out the photo gallery for pics. We still have some prime dates in July for all the trips we offer. Please call or email for more details. Thanks for looking.

Sailing from Seaside Park and fishing both Barnegat Bay and the ocean on the same trip is what we call a Capt combo trip. The best of both worlds. On 6/11 we had Dave and his two sons (Dave Jr and Jacob) for an 8 hour combo trip. This would be Jacobs first time angling in the ocean and he sure was excited. These trips are a perfect way to introduce the new angler to the bounties of the bay and ocean in the same day. A quick trip down the bay and a stop in area that has been producing plenty of blues was a little disappointing with only a handful of fish landed. The guys opted to try for fluke rather than look around for more bluefish and were rewarded with a steady pick of flounder. The three anglers managed to boat 41 fluke from 12" to a nice 18.5" keeper. With the tide falling and the bite slowing down it was time to show Jacob the ocean and a fish filled wreck. Dave Jr first drop produce a beautiful 17" blackfish that was released unharmed. Jacob landed plenty of fish and his Dad helped put a few in the cooler for dinner. With a few tasty seabass in the cooler and tons of action with shorts and blackfish it was time to head in and leave them biting. A wonderful finish to a wonderful day. The father and son trips are always the best. I think I enjoy them more than the charters. The bay action is really starting to heat up and we are now offering bay only fishing in-addition to our ocean wreck trips and of course our one of a kind Capt Combos. Please feel free to call or email for more details. Thanks for looking and check out the new pics in the gallery(Jacobs smile priceless.)
