Seaside Park fishing is as hot as the weather |
A few more trips are in the books and the good fishing continues. Some days the fishing is flat out great and others takes more effort but is still very good fishing. On 7/21 it was the Tony Fas charter doing a bay combo trip. The 3 anglers had great fluke action on light tackle releasing over 80 short fluke with Carmine nailing a large 25" 5lb keeper for the box. A short stop out to an inshore snag produced more non stop action with a mix of porgies, seabass, and tog. The guys boxed a 5 gallon bucket of nice fish and released a load of shorts. On 7/22 it was back out for an all-day wreck trip with the Russell group. The 3 anglers slugged away under windy condition and a slow bite boxing 40 keeper seabass on the day. 7/23 it was a crew trip with some very good numbers of real nice fish. 2 anglers boxed their 50 seabass limits and added two 6 lb blackfish to the cooler also. Today it was an all-day wreck trip for Marc Jr and Sr and Wilson. With the forecasted high winds we were not sure what to expect for sea conditions. Winds were not bad but a very large ground swell made for a bumpy morning. Just a slow grind on the seabass today. Plenty of life on just about every drop but not a lot of fast action. On a good note the size of the fish today was outstanding with many 15" plus fish. After the 3 anglers boxed 45 nice size seabass topped by Mark Jr 3lb knucklehead it was time to go blackfishing. The guys worked up a fair bite boxing their limits but reeling up many more empty hooks than fish. Again Marc Jr had the hot hand on the large fish nailing a personal best 23" 7.1 lb toggie. A real nice day spent with some fine fisherman. Plenty of new pictures in the gallery. Some mid and late August dates are still available for all the trips we offer. Please call or email fo r more details. Thanks for looking
