After a long off season we are pleased to announce that the catching has begun.  Blues are hitting top water plugs in the bay and the wrecks are loaded with plenty of nice size seabass. After launching " Fishguts" on the Friday 21st  it did not take long to get some nice fish on the decks. Less than thirty minutes into the seasons shake down cruise 24" blues were coming over the rails. The blues are jumping all over surface plugs in the skinny waters of the flats. No matter how many times you see a chopper blue crashing a popper in 3feet of water it's still an amazing site.  Today was the first chance at run into the ocean to get an idea of what kind of life was on the inshore wrecks. The reports from north and south have been mixed with some very good trips and some very slow ones. This trip was planned  to take  look around  and see what we could find. Well we found plenty. The fishing was so good we stop searching and just went to catching and loading up the box with nice seabass. Plenty of 16" and larger fish with some short cod and out of season blackfish mixed in. The bite should even get better in the next week or two as the waters warms. We will be running ocean wreck trips  all summer long and bay blue fish trips for the next two weeks. We will start our bay fluke trips when we feel  fishing will offer a charter a very good chance at landing  more than a few quailty fish or some large numbers of shorts for plenty of action. We have Monday the 31st open for an all day wreck trip. All ice, rods, reels, bait and fish cleaning is included.
