Ocean Capt's Choice - This trip is a full-day ocean trip that may include targeting the wrecks for seabass and blackfish (call capt for season/bag limits), chasing stripers under bunker schools or drifting for fluke. We will be fishing where the conditions are best and the capt feels that the group has the best chance at putting a respectable catch in the box. Trips may also include a stop in the bay for weakfish and fluke.
Bay Capt's choice - This is bay fishing at its best. We will be targeting fluke, blues and weakfish with light and ultra light tackle. While the bay fluke fishery is mostly catch-and-release (due to the 18" size limit), the large numbers that can be caught on very light tackle can make for an action-packed trip. Most trips can expect a few keepers to bring home. We will also target weakfish and blues on many of these trips.
Blues on the flats - These action-packed trips are limited to just 2 anglers. We will be casting top water lures on the bay's skinny water flats behind Island Beach State Park. If the thought of a 4lb-bluefish smashing a top water lure in 3ft water gets your heart pounding, this is the trip for you. Late spring and early summer can provide some very reliable fishing for 2- to 6-pound fish with the occasional 8-to 10-lber mixed in.
