Home Trips Offered Ocean Trips
|
Bottom/wreck - On this trip we fish many inshore ship wrecks, rockpiles and snags for summer time seabass and other tasty bottom dwellers. Getting good numbers of quality fish during the hot summer months is what we do best. In addition to sea bass, blackfish are also a primarily targeted species (call capt for season and bag limits). These trips may also encounter porgies, triggerfish, ling, fluke (some very large), and the occasional cod fish. We fish with medium action tackle in 25 to 100ft of water. Fast action and warm weather makes this a great all-around trip.
Fluke -The area outside of Barnegat Inlet has historically been known for its great ocean fluking. From the areas off of Seaside to the Southern reefs we can and will go to were the fish are. We carry a full line of the freshest baits (many netted just prior to departure). We target these tasty flat fish by drifting in shallow waters just off the beach to the rocky bottom in over 90ft of water. Seabass, striped bass, and bluefish may also be encountered on these trips. We use light and medium tackle with 2 to 10 ounce of weight.
Capt Combo - These trips offer mostly ocean fishing with stops in the bay on the way out and again on the return trip. This is the trip that you will not find offered anywhere else. We fish where the action and conditions are best. The capt will work the whole length of the trip to put an outstanding catch together for the charter. Trips may include stops for weakfish at day break, then hitting the inlet for a school of crashing blues, then its off to a fish-filled wreck with the capt keeping a sharp eye out for stripers feeding on bunker schools. After lunch the arm weary charter may have a shot of ocean fluking or may opt for some 1st class ultra light bay fluking. If the charter is still game for a little more angling, the capt is usually more than willing to stop at one of his favorite weakfish holes on the way home. This is the kind of trip the captain does on his days off. Value and action-packed is the best way to describe this trip. Three separate rod/reel combination are supplied per angler.
