Mixed bag (fluke, blues, weakfish) - Summer flounder, aka fluke, are one of the most sought after species along our coast. The area of bay adjacent to Barnegat Inlet holds some truly amazing numbers of these fish throughout the summer season. While  this fishery is mostly catch-and-release due to the current 18" size limit, the shear numbers of fish that can be caught on very light tackle along with the occasional doormat makes these trips exciting for both the new fisherman and the old salt. In addition to fluke, weakfish and blues may be targeted. Trips may include light bucktailing, drifting baits, chumming, and casting artificials. We use light and ultra light tackle and fish calm waters 2 to 20 feet deep.

Bay plugging - On these special trips we will be casting artificial lures only(yozuri, bkd, finess, poppers, ect) targeting bluefish, weakfish and stripers. The area behind Island Beach State Park offers some truly world class light tackle top water action. Late spring and early summer can provide some very reliable fishing for 2-to 6-pound bluefish in the shallow water of the flats. You can also mix in a real chance at some quality weakfish and the occasional striped bass. As the season progresses we will target many different areas, including the jetties and mouth of Barnegat Inlet. By limiting these  trips to  just 2 anglers, it allows the captain to stay on the fish while providing an amazing amount of space for each angler to cast. We use light tackle on these trips.


Bounty of the Bay (Family Special) - The bay is home to an amazing number of animals, from the smallest hermit crab to the largest striped bass that calls this wonderful place home. While primarily a fishing trip, these trips will offer the opportunity to entertain and educate about the waters and surrounding area. From seeing an osprey nest perch high atop a channel marker to sighting Barnegat Light House for the very first time, these trips make lasting memories for both adults and children. The primary objective will be to keep the rods bending to show the young or new saltwater angler the thrill of catching a few. On these trips we may encounter just about anything that swims in the bay, such as bluefish, fluke, weakfish, small seabass, kingfish, blowfish and jumbo sea robins. We use light and ultra light tackle and fish in calm waters of 4 to 15ft deep. We also provide comfortable youth life jackets. Please, no alcohol allowed on these trips.


Capt Combo - This trip is the same as the bay mixed bag trip, with the addition of a run out in the ocean to fish some inshore wrecks. This gives the charter a chance to get a few tasty seabass and blackfish fillets to take home. It is also a great way to introduce a new saltwater angler to ocean fishing. The best of both fisheries in one trip.
