Today I had the STC Sports(www.stcsports.com) weekly charter out for a full day of wreck fishing. Brian and Jessie have been hammering away at the knuckle heads the last few trips and brought Toney (Jessie's son) to help fill the cooler on this trip. Toney showed the guys how its was done with a fish close to 3 lbs on his first drop. The sea condition were not the greatest with a SE swell and hard current but the guys hung in there. They rallied at the end of the day with some real nice quality fish, with Brian getting a jumbo 3lb "pool winner" on the last stop of the day.The guys ended the day with 45 keeper seabass ,1 ling, 1porgie and 12 out of season blackfish along a 150 short seabass. As always it a pleasure and one fine day when the guys from STC Sports are on-board. Thanks guys and see you soon. Thanks for look ing

Today I ran a crew trip with boat regular and outstanding fisherman Ed McGinnis. A crew trip is another word for a trip were I fish lol. Once again we found great fishing with great quality. This is about as good as it gets when it comes to summer time inshore seabassing. Ed hammered big numbers a large knuckle heads requiring the net more than a dozen times. We boxed our limit of 50 keepers with more than half being beauties over 15 inches. We ended with enough tasty fillets to feed an army. This was a trip we will be talking about for years to come. I also have some good news on the blackfish front. After we caught our boat limit of seabass I decided to check out some spots for blackfish in anticipation of the July 16th opener. We found good numbers of hungry 2 to 3 lb fish. Blackfish will become a target species after the opener. Dates are starting to fill up so if you are intrested in some jumbo tog in the warm summer months give a call or email. Also if you are interested in getting on our open boat or safari trip alert list just send an email to be notified of any openings. Thanks again Ed for a great day. Thanks for looking.

Its hard to believe but the seabass bite has improved in a few locations that we have been fishing. The numbers are truly amazing. Drop and reel does not describe the fishing. Many bites are happening before the baits hit the bottom. The only thing that has been changing is the keeper ratio from day to day. Some trips are seeing larger fish and some more keepers, but all trips have had outstanding fishing with large bags of fillets at the end of the day. On the 29th I had Steve and Bill from Cherry Hill out for an open boat wreck trip. They finished the day with 45 keeper seabass, 1ling and a few nice size out of season poriges. Today it was another open boat trip with Brian, Mike, and Curt from Towanda Pa for more seabass. This would be the first time bottom fishing for all three. After the first stop I looked in the cooler and knew this was some good fishing. These guys knew how to catch them even though they bite a little different than a walleye . The only thing that could stop these guys was the wind. Around 11:00am it started to come on hard from the south and blew harder until we had to head to the bay at 12:30. The guys put one of the nicest quality catches together this season. They finished a short day with 30 keepers up to 18 inches with a 14.5inch avg. That's some nice fish for any time of the year let alone almost July. We made a quick stop in the bay and tried to drift in terrible conditions. The guys hung right in there and managed 7 short fluke up to 17" before we called it a day. Thanks again Brian,Mike, and Curt and good luck on the surf. We are booked up for the rest of this week but have some open days next week. We are going to stick with the seabass as long as the bite stays this hot. I have an offer out there for a free trip on Sat July 4. It is open to any service member that served in Iraq or Afghanistan and was on active duty in the last 12 months(did not have to be over seas justt active duty). This will be a no worry/ relax trip for a total of 3 people(service men or women). All they need to do is show up with lunch and a cooler to bring some fillets home and I will take care of the rest. All I ask is to please revue my alcohol policy and no talk of politics foreign or domestic policy.....just come have a good time and no worries....... Please call or email if you are or know a person that would like to make this trip. It will 5 plus hours of a good fish catching time. Pleas call or email by wed 5pm.
